About the Council

A volunteer voice for Los Osos.

LOCAC is an advisory body to the County of San Luis Obispo. We are not a city government — we listen, study, and recommend on behalf of our neighbors.

Our mission

To represent the residents of Los Osos in matters of land use, planning, transportation, and environmental stewardship — and to advise the County of San Luis Obispo with the careful, neighborly judgment our community deserves.

What we are

LOCAC is a chartered Community Advisory Council. Members are volunteer residents elected by district. We hold open monthly meetings, take public comment, and forward written recommendations to County staff, the Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors.
